Let's Connect with Lydia of Reiki & Natural Healing

A Quiet Calling to Heal

For Lydia Jarvis, opening her business Reiki & Natural Healing in Boorowa was an important step toward offering her services more broadly to visitors and the local community.

Lydia has completed study as a Tibetan Usui Reiki Master, and in March 2020, was certified as a Tao (“Dow”) Hands Practitioner by the Tao Academy, based in Toronto, Canada.

Lydia has called Boorowa home since 2009 — marrying a local farmer and embracing rural life. Her journey with Reiki and healing began long before she opened her tranquil healing space. She had quietly offered Reiki in others’ rooms across the Hilltops before COVID, but it was an unexpected event that shifted everything.

In 2023, after instinctively offering roadside comfort to a friend involved in a motorcycle accident, he later told her that, despite the dire situation, he had felt unusually calm in her presence. So much so, he encouraged his wife to see Lydia for her own health challenges — and she too felt the benefits. That feedback, real and heartfelt, became Lydia’s nudge to step forward again — this time, armed with an additional modality: Tao Hands training.

Lydia set up her healing space at 105 Pudman St, Boorowa — a place where people can put their outer world on hold, find stillness, and focus inwards to connect more deeply, choosing to let go of what no longer serves them. She says, “New clients are often surprised by what they do experience during the session and how they feel afterwards, as it is quite unique and can assist to bring about profound change.”

One of Lydia’s standout moments occurred during Woolfest when a visitor, seeking relief from a strong headache, agreed to try a short (chair-based) healing session. Within 20 minutes, her pain — which she’d rated around 8 out of 10 — was completely gone. “It was a great result,” Lydia recalls, “one of those moments where a client experiences a really obvious shift; a delight to be a part of.”

But it’s not just the healing sessions that assist people. Lydia also retails Warbotanicals, a thoughtfully curated range of essential oils and holistic personal care products made in Melbourne. What started as a few items Lydia personally loved has grown into a collection of trusted remedies her clients love too. “I was introduced to Warbotanicals through the shop Bec Marchant had in Young. I really liked them. They did a great job and were such a boost to the senses — they feel and smell amazing,” says Lydia.

Reiki & Natural Healing is about inviting people to be open to new potentials and challenging the limits of what we believe is possible in Western wellness. It’s a supportive alternative that meets people where they are.

Results vary from person to person, and it’s not a silver bullet, but many experience measurable outcomes such as reduced pain, increased mobility, better sleep, higher energy levels, a sense of calm, and faster recovery from injury or illness. Other shifts are less obvious — changes on an emotional, mental, or spiritual level.
