The Southern Cross Cinema and Arts Complex offers professional-grade infrastructure rarely found in regional centres, including:

• A full audio system with digital control mixing delivering outstanding sound quality. 
• A complete theatre lighting system designed to elevate live performances.
• Wireless microphones for clear, uninterrupted delivery.
• Conferencing facilities with webcam capability for meetings and hybrid events.
• A 4K streaming camera for high-quality recording or live broadcasting.
• An expandable stage reaching up to 7.2 metres wide by 6 metres deep.
• Intimate seating for up to 180 guests, creating an immersive audience experience.
• In-house technical support for sound and lighting, with flexibility for visiting production teams.

More than a cinema — a creative hub

Cinema

At its heart is Southern Cross Cinema — the only cinema in the region. It provides a true big-screen experience, showcasing the
latest blockbusters, family favourites and special screenings. With high-quality audio-visual systems and comfortable

seating, it remains a much-loved destination for locals of all ages — from weekend movie nights to school-holiday outings.

Art

Hilltops Arts Inc actively supports local artists by providing exhibition and creative space. The complex is home to groups such as
the Young Society of Artists Inc, helping artists showcase their work and stay connected within the region.

The complex also supports the performing arts through Christine Wishart Dance Studio, which offers classes and performances for dancers of all ages — nurturing confidence, creativity and expression.
