Ang Hart is a multifaceted artist, psychologist, and advocate for social change, based on a picturesque farm in the Hilltops region of NSW. She maintains strong connections to the mining towns of Cobar in New South Wales and Kalgoorlie in Western Australia. Her creative journey is defined by explorations of rhythm, disruption, and the complexities of human experience.
Ang holds a Master of Creative Industries (MCI) with a focus on interdisciplinary visual arts practice. Her research, “Rising from the Dust: (in)visible Women in Mining”, highlights the challenges faced by women in the mining industry through twelve portraits. She presented this work at the Australian Women’s and Gender Studies Association (AWGSA) Conference in November 2024 at Southern Cross University, Gold Coast.
Her passion for gestural and action painting illuminates vibrant, introspective works that explore mood, emotion, and the human condition. Each piece reflects her personal journey, mental health experiences, and insights as a psychologist, mother, wife, and creative. Her art resonates deeply with audiences, inspiring courage, wisdom, and hope.
With a commitment to creativity, Ang has facilitated workshops for diverse age groups — from children to seniors — blending her artistic style with psychological expertise. These sessions encourage self-expression, emotional connection, and personal growth, creating transformative experiences for participants.
Through storytelling, rhythm, and disruption, Ang Hart invites communities to reflect, connect, and grow together.

Artist + activist = Artivist. Ang’s works illuminate both the visible and the (in)visible, often engaging with social issues and the psychology of resilience. Her Master of Creative Industries research, “Rising from the Dust: (in)visible Women in Mining”, examines the challenges faced by women in mining through twelve portraits.
Across canvases and conversations, Ang Hart encourages audiences to sit with emotion — to notice rhythm, embrace disruption, and consider how art can reflect and reshape our inner worlds.
Ang facilitates inclusive workshops for children, teens, adults, and seniors. Drawing on her dual expertise as an artist and psychologist (Angela Webb — AHPRA: PSY0001711256), she creates safe, engaging spaces where participants can express themselves, connect with others, and explore new perspectives. These sessions nurture confidence, curiosity, and personal growth.

Ang’s artivism is inspired by the Guerrilla Girls, Australia’s Knitting Nannas, and Rory Banwell. Her artistic influences include Helen Frankenthaler, Joan Ross, Louise Bourgeois, Del Kathryn Barton, and Frida Kahlo, with nods to Jackson Pollock, David Bromley, and Mark Rothko. Her bookshelf features Brené Brown, Hélène Cixous (1976), bell hooks, and Virginia Woolf — voices that continue to shape her research and practice.
Through expressive mark-making and storytelling, Ang encourages audiences to ask deeper questions about themselves, their emotions, and the world — fostering empathy, connection, and collective healing.
