Because it feels like home. The Young Show is where neighbours catch up, families make a day of it, and generations share the same grandstand — all with that unmistakable country welcome you only find in Young, NSW.
It’s proudly hands-on. From prize produce and polished cattle to quilts, preserves, paintings and handmade crafts in the pavilion, locals don’t just attend — they enter, compete, cheer and lend a hand.
It’s a celebration of our kids. The school art sheet display stops people in their tracks — dozens of colourful story-filled sheets created by local schools, daycares and OOSH programs, hanging like a gallery of community pride.
It mixes old and new in the best possible way. You’ll wander from livestock and yard dog trials to truck, car and bike shows, then finish with rides and the 8pm fireworks — a tradition that still feels fresh every single year.
It’s powered by us. Volunteers, sponsors and more than 200 local businesses rally behind the Show, proving that when Young comes together, big things happen for our town and the whole Hilltops region.
Most of all, it reminds us who we are — a community that shows up, pitches in and celebrates the good things we grow, make and share, year after year.
“A fantastic day out for the whole family — celebrating our community and agricultural roots.”
